Trick of the trade.

Hey Michael, I will try to get this book in the mail by tomorrow. Have fun with it. It's a beautiful thing.

The paper is so absorbent that inking the way I like wouldn't have worked, so I pasted the sketch into the book. The sketch was done by tracing an old pinup image in Adobe Illustrator. I then printed the sketch on to Moleskine Cahier paper using my inkjet printer. I used 3M Super 77 spray adhesive to mount the picture in the book. Then, I inked it. You'd never know that computer had anything to do with it.

  1. Looking good marty that is a great living dead zombie pin up!!! It's no rush mailing it out i've got plenty of moly's to work on!

  2. Pretty sweet looking lady...even headless she is inviting

  3. indeed thats some good looking zombie girl

date her and if you dont like the head she will put on another one :P!

  4. Hi fellas. I think this might be too easy. Simply copy an old pinup, beautiful in the first place, and chop her head off. Funny and pretty.

It's fun for me how my inking style fits with the old pinup style.

Thank you for your kind support.

  5. It may be to easy but it sure is GREAT!

  6. This is the kinda thing I was hoping for in this exchange...seeing how different approaches can work.
