QUESTION for the group:
When working on each others books...are the previously created pages off limits?
If I am so moved...can I add to the previous work?
Should others feel free to tamper with my lines?
What is the spoken or unspoken rules on this subject?
usually I've seen people is friendly and inviting the rest of the people to add stuff to their drawings
ReplyDeletemyself I like that people adds stuff or even draws on top of what I've done and i've left blank spaces before or stuff without coloring so people could maybe finish it or add more
I think that is one of the best stuff when doing moly exchanges, that styles can merge and interact, dunno what the rest thinks about that
I can only speak for my own book, of course, but the more the overall expressed story running through the book reflects all of the contributors swirled together, the better I think. So if you can enhance and emerge within mine, give 'er!

My book will demand that people drawing on each other's pages... or it'll eat your hand.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else. I think the exchange is better when we all intermingle our artwork and start / finish each others works. I highly encourage it for my group... it seems most groups people do not really do this.
ReplyDeleteI can speak for all. I really CAN speak for all. Read this: It has always been my hope that this would be an interactive adventure. Please please please feel free to work anywhere in the book including on and around other people's work. If someone doesn't love what you did in their book, they can get back at you when your book gets to them. Artists have been too polite in my opinion. The more people interact, the better the experience will be. Fight the drive to be polite.
ReplyDeleteSo say we all!
ReplyDeleteAnd as Bruce Campbell once uttered upon sorting out a mechanical hand, “Groovy!”
e
I think that covers it.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, what Marty said, lets set a new paradigm in terms of mixing/interacting, with this group :P
