Trick of the trade.
Hey Michael, I will try to get this book in the mail by tomorrow. Have fun with it. It's a beautiful thing.
The paper is so absorbent that inking the way I like wouldn't have worked, so I pasted the sketch into the book. The sketch was done by tracing an old pinup image in Adobe Illustrator. I then printed the sketch on to Moleskine Cahier paper using my inkjet printer. I used 3M Super 77 spray adhesive to mount the picture in the book. Then, I inked it. You'd never know that computer had anything to do with it.

Hi fellas. I think this might be too easy. Simply copy an old pinup, beautiful in the first place, and chop her head off. Funny and pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun for me how my inking style fits with the old pinup style.
Thank you for your kind support.
It may be to easy but it sure is GREAT!
ReplyDeleteThis is the kinda thing I was hoping for in this exchange...seeing how different approaches can work.
